OMG!! HOW CUTE was our Dame last night!?!? LOL!!  Yes, I realized that I ended up watching 2 hours of the utter TORTURE that is American Idol for a grand total of less than 30 seconds of Helen... BUT IT WAS WORTH IT!!  Ok, for those of you who didn't get to see it click on THIS for the stayin' alive video!! ... and because I can...







It's been HOURS and I still can't get over how PRECIOUS she is!!! 

Was anyone else really disappointed with the DVD of The Queen?  As an avid (almost rabid) Dame Helen fan I wanted MANY more extra features!!! sigh... i guess we can't have everyting :( 

On a happier note, GRADUATION CAP AND GOWN ARRIVED!! :D phew! fancy shmancy! And mom and dad want to take studio pictures cause my little brother is graduating and they think it would be precious to have some pictures together... i guess it would :D  And apparently mom is planning this HUGE party where the entire city and their dogs are invited! SO EXCITED!! :D

Also, announcements go out tomorrow (they were SUPPOSED to go out today... UGH!) you'd THINK we know our relatives NAMES let alone their addresses!!!  I can't tell you how many times we were stumped by how to spell people's names... or even just figure out their REAL name!! I assured my mom that Maggy was NOT born Maggy, but alas Maggy it is since we have no idea what her real name is!! (that is just ONE of the hundreds of headaches we had getting these out!) 

Yah, and somewhere in all this I'm supposed to be studying for finals, finishing up group projects, etc. hehe... stressed? oh... of COURSE NOT!!! LOL!!! :D

Umm, not much to report since Sunday...
Got another interview YAY!! So, one on Friday and one on Monday! Wish me luck! and that's about it!

I've been alternating a lot between creating Helen stuff and studying.  Most of you know the drill ... "Ok, If I finish reading for Copyright by 3 that gives me an hour before I have to leave for class to play on photoshop." :D

Well... I'm going to be posting SOME of the fruits of my labour up today!

ITINERARY!!
1)  FIRST - I think it's just AWFUL that we don't have an entire Helen mood theme!!! So I went ahead and made one :D.  I figured my best bet was with the Prime Suspect series since there's a lot of them and I wanted to make this as easy as possible on myself.  I'm planning on doing a second Mood Theme with candid/awards/photoshoot Helen ... but I run into certain problems with moods such as "angry" and "grumpy" ... so we'll see (If anyone has pics they don't mind donating for the cause I'd be very grateful!)

I don't know if anyone is going to end up using these... but regardless...

I would like to make it ABSOLUTELY clear that these are for EVERYONE.  You DO NOT have to credit (I don't know how you would frankly!).

OK, this week was CRAZYNESS!!!

I had a career fair thing (through which I actually got an interview, wish me luck!), was on call in class, had to rescue a friend from a stalled car, met with my career counselor (got my resume crammed into one page! Yes!), puppy got his annual shots yesterday…. And so forth and so on… I am POOPED!!
Oh yah! and most exciting of all... I had to order graduation stuff! (can we say UGLY TAM!?! … ::shudder::) No fair! They didn't make Dame Helen wear an ugly tam!!



(for heavens sake! it's a black velvet berret with a tacky gold tassel... this has to be some cosmic joke.. why can't we wear the flat one?! ::pouts:: k, I know it's not THAT big a deal... but they're still ugly!) 


I am also WAAAY overdue on an entry! (you guys are just going to have to be understanding enough to accept the fact that I’m an “updates-once-a-week” kind of gal!! :0D

Apparently, I have been remiss in not posting pictures of my puppy!!! (he’s only 1 year and 3 months so .. yes… a 90lbs puppy!)
His name is Kaiser, he is a White German Shepherd Dog :-D, and, as you’ll see from the photos… he is a handsome devil!!

Our Itinerary!! YAY!!

1) Golden Globe Screencaps!! (I was able to get my hands on a pretty good quality digital version of the awards ceremony so YAY!!... and the Oscar ones went over well (at least, I’m assuming they did since they keep popping up everywhere!) 

2) A few random pics of beautifulness!! 

3) The last installment of CG’s “most memorable moments!”  (I’m thinking of doing “No Such Thing" next… the screencaps turned out really great and she has some really funny lines (if I remember correctly)... Unless someone vehemently objects?)

YEEHAW!! No one does a Rodeo like the city I live in!! I mean, when was the last time you heard people like Beyonce, Hillary Duff and Sheryl Crow singing on a weekday at a rodeo?! So why would they? Because it’s AWESOME, that’s why!!! (I have no idea why I have so much fun there every year! And at the State Fair! I’m more of a “museum, theater, wine and cheese” type of girl!) … I even got my puppy a new collar with his name and my cell number stitched into it! (it looks better than it sounds :D)

And so, in honour of the rodeo....!!
 

Oh yah, I’m BAAAAAAAAACK!! Spring Break with the ‘rents and little bro was …. Hmm… more than its usual dose of insanity. All I can say is that I love them, they are family, and at this moment (and I’ll probably change my mind tomorrow), I’m so glad that I live a four hour drive away.

Now, a bit of reading for you before that surprise I promised before I left!!

A Question:

Will someone PLEASE tell me how on earth we’re supposed to credit someone when you use an icon another LJ person created?

Headers? Pictures one “steals”? got it. Those make sense! But it’s beyond me how, in a reply on an LJ post, I’m supposed to credit someone for the use of an icon they created…. If someone can clear this mystery up for me it would be MUCH appreciated!!

So I come back from spring break to see that pretty much EVERYONE has answered this very fun looking movie meme!!

Our Itinerary!!!

1) Have you ever found a picture that just stopped you in your tracks but it had an UGLY GROSS watermark RIGHT ACROSS THE FRONT!?!?  Well, it finalyl happened one too many times to me.  In fact it all started with THIS picture



Grr... So I started saving them in their own folder and slowly but surely began to remove them!  Today, I'm posting what I have so far... 

2) Surfing the web the other day I came across a photo shoot I had seen before… but wait… I hadn’t actually seen THESE pictures from that photo shoot!  Some of them are so beautiful that I couldn’t help but post them!  (and if you HAVE seen these particular pics… my apologies! But isn’t she just SO UNBELIEVABLY FABULOUS ANYWAY!?!?)

3) A (mostly) chronologically ordered and carefully timed Helen Mirren & Taylor Hackford montage which I set to Shania Twain’s “You’ve Got A Way” (thanks to miss_analyst for helping me choose the song!)  I couldn't resist putting this together with all the new Helen/Taylor pics!!

I found a few really cute stories I just had to post with my icons and wallpapers!! 

First: Did you guys hear that Chopard representatives/bodyguards (I've read both in different articles) stopped Dame Helen outside the Vanity Fair party last Sunday night and had to carefully cut off the 62 carat yellow diamond (worth three million pounds!) off the back of her dress?  As it had been stiched onto the back of the dress it took them a few minutes to carefully cut it off!  I'll bet a few Chopard reps had a minor stroke when they saw that our Dame was holding one of their 16 carat cluster earings in her hand while making her acceptance speech!! (good press, but I'm sure they didn't want to lose it either!) 
In case you were wondering:  62 carat diamond broach + 16 carat cluster earings + 55 carat cluster bracelet = $4 million (INSANITY!!)

Second: Dame Helen Mirren claims they key to her youthful looks is simply being happy.  The 61-year-old says, "I'm quite a happy person.  I always have been.  My tendency is to smile." The article goes on to say that she eats fairly healthily, but not always and that the burger she had at the Vanity Fair party was her FIRST ONE IN FOUR YEARS!! (yikes! I don't have that much self-control!) 

Third: I decided to post this in its entirety as it's really interesting! HA! If only I was super wealthy, lived in LA, and was in need of a 6 acre estate!
